Edited to add #0: I have to give props to my sister
CQ for the fabulous header she designed for me. Love you!
1. When we moved into this house last month, I got Glitter one of those Little Tikes cars. Well, she thinks that she's one of the Dukes of Hazzard and tries to jump in and out of the windows. This has been resulting in the car rolling over onto her several times a week. Don't worry, it mostly just hurts her pride.
2. We were invited to a four year old birthday party for a little girl this past weekend. I went to go pick up a small gift for her, and I was amazed at the amount of crap on the shelves. Then I had the dilemma of trying to decide which thing to choose. It's hard to make a decision when you have just met the parents and the child. What if she hates dolls? What if her mother forbids the color pink? (That's for you Stull.)
I tend to be middle of the road when it comes to most toys. Dolls that look like tramps are a definite no-no, but not everything has to be solid wood and free of paint either. I went with something safe and was happy to see the same theme plastered inside the party house. Middle of the road is often just fine.
3. For the second time in six months we are trying to unload a house. Know anyone that wants to rent or buy a house?
4. A scene that recently confused me:
A mom and toddler-aged child were sitting at a table. The child was sitting in front of the woman on the table. She was talking to the child, and the child took a swing at her. The open-handed hit was typical for a child of that age and landed on the side of the woman's head. The mom immediately smacked the child's hand with the rebuke, "Don't you hit me."
Makes perfect sense.
5. Have you ever had a honeycrisp apple? If you can get your hands on one, I would highly recommend it. Seriously, it's the best apple in the world. I have converted many to my way of thinking on this particular topic.
6. You see that little pink ribbon on my sidebar? Click it, and then click the giant pink button.
7. Have a great week! (Now read number six again.)
