I've Been Around

There's a lot going on right now, just not really anything that would make for an interesting read, so we'll just go with a quick run-down.
1. Currently Dr. Mario has no plans to be gone for the next eight months or so. woohoo!!

2. We are homeless nomads right now.
3. Glitter and I are in Arizona visiting Methodical Wormer and Physcokity.
4. Glitter is going to be two next Wednesday. holy cow.

5. We are going to Disneyland next week.

6. I need a hair cut. (see I told you. boring.)
7. I'm missing good fall weather this year. It's 95 degrees here right now. yuck.

Happy Monday!

When I downloaded Windows Live Messenger on to my new laptop a few weeks ago, I was clicking through a bunch of screens and not really paying attention to what they were all saying. Now when I'm in a conversation box with anyone, my name is followed by this little symbol.

Today I decided to figure out what it was and this is what I found. It's pretty cool. You can select the cause of your choice and every time you use this account for e-mail or IM, money is donated to your selected cause. As much as I yak it up with my sisters online, I should be able to help a little.

I was not asked to write this post. I received nothing for writing this post. I just thought it was another easy way to help our favorite causes.

Party's Over

1. Thanks to everyone who came to my late blogday party.

I'm sorry if I appeared less than glamorous.

2. I love sleeping. I just have a problem making myself go to bed. If you have a similar problem, how do you make yourself go to bed? On the other side of that, how do you deal with the next day when you've had way too little sleep, and your sweet daughter decides that she wants to be out of bed almost two hours earlier than usual?

3. I had a dream last night that George Costanza walked in on me in the bathroom. I was naked. (Sorry for the mental image.) All I could think about was that he was going to tell everyone that my stomach was fat. It was one of these kinds of moments, and I haven't seen this episode in a long time. I was a little stressed out when I woke up.

4. If you had a week and a half to spend with your immediate family, and you could do anything you wanted, what would you choose to do?

Is It Too Late for This?

It may be, but I guess I don't care. I told you that I do everything late. I haven't come up with anything more creative than I have done in the past to celebrate my bloggy milestones, so I'm opening myself up to questions. If there's anything you're dying to know about me, just ask. I'll answer. I'll probably even tell the truth. Let the party begin!

Everything About Me is Belated

Including the celebration of my second blog birthday. I'm not feeling super creative about how to celebrate--any ideas?

In other news, Dr. Mario's job plans for the next year have changed drastically, so Glitter and I will be taking on a bit of a nomadic lifestyle. Maybe we'll come visit you.

Update

Edited to add #0: I have to give props to my sister CQ for the fabulous header she designed for me. Love you!

1. When we moved into this house last month, I got Glitter one of those Little Tikes cars. Well, she thinks that she's one of the Dukes of Hazzard and tries to jump in and out of the windows. This has been resulting in the car rolling over onto her several times a week. Don't worry, it mostly just hurts her pride.

2. We were invited to a four year old birthday party for a little girl this past weekend. I went to go pick up a small gift for her, and I was amazed at the amount of crap on the shelves. Then I had the dilemma of trying to decide which thing to choose. It's hard to make a decision when you have just met the parents and the child. What if she hates dolls? What if her mother forbids the color pink? (That's for you Stull.)

I tend to be middle of the road when it comes to most toys. Dolls that look like tramps are a definite no-no, but not everything has to be solid wood and free of paint either. I went with something safe and was happy to see the same theme plastered inside the party house. Middle of the road is often just fine.

3. For the second time in six months we are trying to unload a house. Know anyone that wants to rent or buy a house?

4. A scene that recently confused me:

A mom and toddler-aged child were sitting at a table. The child was sitting in front of the woman on the table. She was talking to the child, and the child took a swing at her. The open-handed hit was typical for a child of that age and landed on the side of the woman's head. The mom immediately smacked the child's hand with the rebuke, "Don't you hit me."

Makes perfect sense.

5. Have you ever had a honeycrisp apple? If you can get your hands on one, I would highly recommend it. Seriously, it's the best apple in the world. I have converted many to my way of thinking on this particular topic.

6. You see that little pink ribbon on my sidebar? Click it, and then click the giant pink button.

7. Have a great week! (Now read number six again.)
