I just read over here that tomorrow is National Pie Day. I'll be home all day to receive any random acts of pieness that you would like to share.
Possible topics of discussion:

1. I don't buy pie - I make them.

5. The first chocolate cream pie I ever made was a disaster - it was so runny and never set up...
I look like glitter after I have pie too. Yumness. Gotta find pie. There is a good song about PIE, in a movie, do you know which one?
lol, i love pictures of glitter eating pie. paul makes a fantstic crust from scratch from the better homes and gardens cookbook. when he makes a pie, it is always delicious.

Like Sew Hot, I too look like Glitter after some good pie.
Also, I think the answer to that question is: BYE BYE MISS AMERICAN PIE, DROVE MY CHEVY...I mean, right?
I'm not a real big pie fan, I usually choose something else over it. But as a general rule, anything with chocolate...

My dad buys pies. I refuse. I now make my own crust without cussing and being put on restrictions for 6 months. Yes, Red Man grounds me. Red Man love pecan pie above all else. I LOVE Dita's peach pie. Nothing better. It makes my two-hand theory come alive and I start dancing. I also love pumpkin pie. And since pumpkin is good for you, I eat it for all three meals of the day until it's gone. BTW I think cheesecake should be placed in the pie category, and not in the cakes. The texture is that of pies. All this pie talk and no darned pies in the house and a woman too lazy to make one! Darned it all!
If I buy pie, it is frozen the other stuff just isn't worth it. I buy the refrigerator crust, yes I am a cheater. Unless I really really want to make a pie right then and don't have the ready made stuff. I don't like coconut cream pie. I love chocolate cream & fresh raspberry pie, but my all time favorite is strawberry pie. And my pie story... while I was pregnant with lg we went to the temple, afterwards we went to dinner. They offered us each a free slice of pie for some reason and I got strawberry. I was very full from dinner and decided to take my pie home. We got out of the car, as Jake shut the car door, he dropped my pie. The stupid styrofoam container jumped open and my beautiful lucious strawberry pie smeared the parking lot. I told him he owed me a piece of strawberry pie... he never paid up... I think I'll go remind him, 5 years later. :)
Pie, pie, me,oh,my, I love pie. I think this song was in the movie "Michael" with John Travolta. Love it. I love to make pie and my favorite is strawberry/banana cream. I once had a pie disaster involving lemon meringue and I think HSF wrote about it in her blog a while back. It's a long story, but look it up if you have a chance. It seems like one of those once-in-a-lifetime nightmares, but these weird things happen to me all the time. Hmmm.....

No. But Firstborn doesn't like cakes (weird kid) so I get him pie for his birthday instead.

ncs- I'm not much of a cake fan either--I've had all kinds of other things instead. Pie is good.

Pie's were always my mom's thing....When Mister and I were dating.....before he met my parents, I was on the phone with him, and "helping" my mom make a pie....by helping, I was getting out the fork and knife since her hands were all doughy....he asked what I was doing..."helping my mom make a pie." response.."YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKE PIE!!?" my response..."um, yeah?" Needless to say, I had to take some fast lessons, before he flew in a week later to meet my family....
I always think I'm gonna like pie.. then I don't enjoy it as much as I planned. First few bites are really good. Then I'm just wishing I had something else.
I do make pie, sometimes... but not much. Not enough to have mastered my own crust or anything.
I would much rather have cheesecake. That I can make... and make a lot.
So Jake isn't allowed to carry strawberry pie OR mac 'n cheese? Just get a bag for him to put those boxes in... I'm not a pie person so much but I guess that's okay since I'm a day late!

I made apple. It was yummy. I had the leftovers for breakfast.
No funny pie stories because pie is somthing I take very seriously :)
1. Store bought pies are better frozen!
2. Depends on how crafty I'm feeling and how much time I have.
3. Most of the cream pies I'm not a fan of. Oh yeah lest we forget the stank pies ie mince meat or sheperd's g'ew! Chicken Pot's a little dicey too. What a cruel joke. heeh they think they're getting a dessert we'll show them! Take that!...suckers!
4. Fruit pies. I didn't meet a fruit pie I didn't like.
5. I want pie at my wedding (should the mythical event occur) down with cake. Oh yes, one of my last days in "P-town" we went to a hole in the wall on Center and I ordered the Caramel Apple Pie.
Five dollars and 10 minutes later I had one of the most lucious treats I had ever tasted placed before me. It was also in excess of five inches in length.
Pie R squared? NO! Pie are round! haha thanks to my geometry teach for that one!
CQ- Is Jake allowed to carry the food any more? There might be something to this whole dropping of people's leftovers...carry your own!
